Lancashire Derbyshire and East Coast Railway Scrapbook....

Because of my family background I am fascinated with one of Britains lesser known railways the LD&ECR.

Despite its very grand title it never got outside South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Because of its location, in generally very developed areas all traces of it are now dissapearing - the majority of it closing in the late 1950's having lost a lot of its passenger services before WW2.

This scrapbook is to preserve some memory of the railway and associated features before it totally dissapears in the name of progress.
